Initial Design - Draft 1

My initial approach to my design concept was intentionally without context of the client or research. This allowed me to focus solely on what was provided directly before me; the site. As such, these sketches and idea were quite brutal in nature, aiming first to directly address the physical context by exploiting the landscape as much as possible. There were still attempts to consider nature within the building as well as around it, adopting natural circular and hexagonal forms.

At this stage however, I was already aware that my concept would A. take some form from the landscape and B. sit within the landscape.
